Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes how Decision Maker handles your data. We built this app to be as private as possible — your data stays on your device by default.

1. What data we collect

We do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or location.

The only data the app stores is:

• The lists you create (list names and option text)
• Option colors and weights you set
• Your theme preference (light, dark, or auto)

All of this is stored locally on your device using your browser's IndexedDB database. We do not send this data to our servers unless you explicitly use the optional share features described below.

2. No ads, no tracking

Decision Maker does not display advertisements and does not use any analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not track your behavior, we do not build profiles, and we do not share data with advertisers or data brokers.

3. Optional sharing features

If you choose to share a list,

• QR Code: When you generate a QR code, your list data is encoded into the URL as a base64 string. The data never touches a server — it travels directly from your screen to the other person's camera via the QR code. If you share that URL through messaging apps, those apps may handle the data according to their own policies.

4. Permissions

The app requests only one device capability:

• Vibration: Used for light haptic feedback when you interact with selectors (wheel spin, card flips, etc.). This is entirely local and does not transmit any data.

The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, photos, files, or notifications.

5. Data retention and deletion

Your data lives on your device for as long as you keep the app installed. You can delete individual lists at any time within the app. If you uninstall the app, all local data is removed automatically by the operating system. We do not retain copies on our servers.

6. Children

Decision Maker is not directed at children under 13, but it does not collect any personal information from anyone. Parents and guardians can use the app without concern.

7. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Since the app does not collect contact information, we cannot notify you directly.

9. Waiver of responsibility

Real talk, you make decisions every day, do your part and make them GOOD decisions. This app helps you make every day decisions, you have a responsiliblty to yourself to use it in safe ways. I'll be honest, there are safeguards in my app to guide you in certain situations, hopefully you never encounter them. If you do, I truly hope you listen to the message Ive tried to pass to you, but even then, no matter what I do or say, you are in control of your life. You are not alone. Remember this app does not send anything anywhere though, so the message Ive added is the only thing I can do. Stay safe.
